My summer experience at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College (FAC) as a Production Assistant meant working closely with Ryan Bañagale, Dori Mitchell, and Maria Capp as the FAC navigated new ways of sharing art in a digital format. This internship was remote although I lived in the Springs at the time. I primarily worked as Project Manager for the 3×3 Projects which included communicating with the participating artists, arranging meetings and video editing. I also spent time helping edit videos and projects for Bemis School of Art such as At Home tutorials and helping develop a new series titled ClayTV that has yet to be released. I learned how to use new programs such as Basecamp, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook Suites. I also improved on my Adobe Premiere editing skills and developed a better understanding and handling of the program. I also received so many wonderful opportunities to connect with and learn from local artists and their crafts; as well as see how an institution like the FAC functions and how the people who work there are really working around the clock to make an inclusive and growing space.
