Major: International Political Economy
From late May through the present, I have been working with Taylor Anderson, LLP as a legal intern. I transitioned from an unpaid role to a paid role in early August, when I made the commitment to take a leave of absence from CC and continue working through the winter. Beginning in my role, I was tasked with completely overhauling the internal case tracking and categorization system. This placed my internship in a mostly administrative sphere. Throughout this internship, I have observed legal proceedings in plaintiff and defense cases. After establishing my competency, I was able to start preparing litigation materials for cases, such as medical chronologies, document reviews, and deposition summaries. This role was much more focused on every day workings of the legal field, and working with attorneys and paralegals on these tasks allowed me to establish an understanding of what working in this field looks like.
